Will hell freeze? Kerry shivers

The undaunted Swift Boat Veterans for Truth have issued a monumental challenge to John F. Kerry. If he apologizes - in what would have to be an unequivocal manner - the group will stop its advertisements. In a letter from yesterday, the group makes the offer. In order to make good, Kerry must address four points of concern: 1. His anti-war conduct following his return to stateside; 2. Clarify the conflicting accounts involving the Bay Hap River incident of March 13, 1969 (Bronze Star and 3rd Purple Heart); 3. Admit his wounds required little or no medical attention; and 4. Admit he was never in Cambodia.
Frankly, if Kerry complies with this compound request, you will have to pick me up off the floor. Being the nuanced guy he is, he might make a stab at it with oh-so-carefully crafted language. He has an excellent opportunity when he addresses the American Legion today. Hey, I predict we'll see a couple more ads.
